CALIFORNIA COASTAL
RACE FOR HEMOPHILIA
SAN FRANCISCO TO
SAN DIEGO
Join us for the Second
Annual California Coastal Ride For Hemophilia, benefiting the Hemophilia
Foundation of Northern California (HFNC) and the Hemophilia Association
of San Diego. This ride was started last year by Michael Hudson
and Yohannes Negga, two Marine Corps officers based in San Diego.
Michael’s son has hemophilia and he wants to raise awareness of
this genetic disorder. You can either pledge to make this 600+
mile trip down the beautiful California coastline, or help sponsor
a rider! Your support makes all the difference!
Depart: San Francisco – June 15,
2003
Arrive: San Diego – June 21, 2003
Who started the California Coastal
Ride For Hemophilia?
Michael R. Hudson – First Lieutenant
Michael R Hudson is a Marine officer currently assigned to the
Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego as a Series Commander for
Company L, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion. He oversees the conduct
of training for America’s Marine Recruits and provides leadership
and guidance for the Drill Instructors and recruits under his charge.
The purpose of his endeavor is to increase public awareness of
hemophilia and to raise money for the Hemophilia Association of
San Diego County. Lieutenant Hudson has a two-year old son named
Ryan who was diagnosed with a severe case of Hemophilia. The inspiration
for this campaign stems from Ryan and all the other children who
live with Hemophilia.
